U.S. News & World Report Best Hospitals

As part of the UF Health Jacksonville system, UF Health North was recognized as one of Jacksonville's best hospitals for 2019 by U.S. News & World Report. The system was nationally ranked in Ear, Nose and Throat (#41) and Nephrology (#45), and high-performing in Neurology and Neurosurgery, as well as treatment for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, or COPD, and heart failure. U.S. News & World Report rankings are based on data that includes patient outcomes, patient experience, staffing and reputation among peers.

PRC Excellence in Healthcare Awards

In 2019, PRC, an independent organization that measures and benchmarks patient satisfaction, recognized the following UF Health North units with 5-Star Awards for Overall Quality of Care. The 5-Star Award is given to units/departments whose patient satisfaction scores were in the top 10% nationally.

  • Emergency Room
  • Inpatient 4th Floor Medical/Surgical Unit
  • Inpatient Units Combined
  • Labor and Delivery Unit
  • Outpatient Surgery Center

2018: 5-Star Awards given to Ambulatory and Outpatient Surgery; Emergency Room; Inpatient Medical/Surgical Unit; and Outpatient Surgery Center. Inpatient units combined received the 4-Star Award, placing them in the top 25% nationally.

2017: 5-Star Awards given to Emergency Room and Outpatient Surgery Center.

Human Rights Campaign LGBTQ Healthcare Equality Leader

In 2019, UF Health North, as part of the UF Health Jacksonville system, was recognized as an LGBTQ Healthcare Equality Leader by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation in their annual Healthcare Equality Index report. The HEI evaluates and scores health care facilities’ policies and practices related to equity and inclusion of their LGBTQ patients, visitors and employees.

American College of Radiology Accreditation

UF Health North has received a three-year term of accreditation in CT, mammography, MRI, nuclear medicine/PET and ultrasound by the American College of Radiology, or ACR. ACR accreditation represents the highest level of image quality and patient safety offered by health care facilities.
